Last of Us hotel safe In The Hotel Level, The Last Of Us Hits Its Peak
This emotional storytelling and its action-packed stealth gameplay come together in a flooded hotel.
Last of Us hotel safe In The Hotel Level So The Last of Us is a great game from its opening moments when the Cordyceps outbreak begins, until its closing moments when Joel decides to do nothing about the entire Cordyceps outbreak. And with that, while there are narrative moments.
And with that the chapter soon begins and that’s when Joel and Ellie are ambushed by a group of Hunters, and that’s when they go deep into the city where they’re the same pair of Hunters. He is taken to a dilapidated and abandoned hotel. And with that, they work their way up to you, taking out the hunters until they finally reach an elevator.
Attempting to climb through it, Joel successfully raises Ellie to the next floor and so does the elevator, but the lift collapses under their weight and Joel falls into the basement. It’s pitch black, it’s flooded, and it’s full of infected.

And now that, for the first time since they teamed up, Joel and Ellie have parted ways. And so I remember feeling that alienation intensely when I played the game on PS3 for the first time in my life. And that was the moment when I realized that TLOU had completely taken root in me. And with this I ludonarative harmony was complete; Joel and Ellie were alone, and so did I.
It is thus one of the most memorable sections in the game itself. And that with no way to contact Ellie (besides shouting down the elevator shaft, which isn’t a good idea when your enemies use echolocation), it’s up to Joel to go to the basement. Must navigate his way through and get out and what he finds in it is a door operated by a key card and, don’t you know, the power is off, so that’s why he can’t unlock it. And so to restore power, Joel must turn the generator back on. But doing so will alert all manner of runners, clickers and even a large blotter to its presence. And with that, it closes a very dangerous section of the gameplay, one during which this infected swarm endlessly at you.
And it was only this time while playing through it, that I ran out of supplies of nail bombs, Molotov cocktails, and those shotgun shells in the fight. And, that’s if the game is working for you, and the sense of danger is heightened by the emotional connection between its characters. And that is you it is not only required to survive because this is a game and survival is your basic objective. And that’s all you need to survive and that so that Ellie doesn’t have to be alone.
And after regaining this power, it is only after sliding the key through a newly activated card reader, and climbing several sets of stairs, that Joel almost returns it and it is when he She is attacked by a hunter, and Joe starts drowning her in a pool of water. And that’s when it looks like it’s all over for Joel, and it rings a shot, and that Hunter is over, and Ellie is holding a smoking gun. And that’s surprisingly (at least for Ellie) Joel isn’t happy about it, and with that I punish her for moving on from where she left him and that’s what Ellie calls bullshit. is, and he should do as he should.
As they complete their trek through the hotel, Ellie is angry and monosyllabic as she tries to talk to Joel. And so as they leave the hotel, all they see is a large group of hunters patrolling the courtyard and shops below. And also in a concession that isn’t quite an apology, Joel hands Ellie his rifle, and she tells him to cover her from above. Then, he falls down and goes into the most memorable stealth section of the game. And so it’s every inch of this sneaky arena explored in my mind – mostly because I was the one who died a bunch the first time I played it. And this but the design is memorable, as well as one that has enough slips from which Joel Molotov can throw cocktails down at unsuspecting enemies. As a player, that’s the high ground you have, and with that, but if you don’t move quickly enough enemies can easily see you over them. After Joel takes them all out, he hands Ellie a pistol, telling her that she should have a weapon that is more suitable for her size.
This section takes all that and what makes The Last of Us so special and it turns it into a few hours of gaming. And it’s only when we see Joel and Ellie working on the deep fear that drives them throughout the game – Joel, again it’s getting close to someone; Ellie, of being single – and it is in this segment that the arc of their relationship shows them all dealing with those fears. And we get a lot of sneak peeks as he takes out Joel Hunters, and then at the very end of the game’s stealth-action. And, with that in mind when Joel and Ellie split up, it’s only when we get a perfect juxtaposition of gameplay and story in that segment. It’s as good and that’s as much as The Last of Us gets.
